Insurance Excess
All prices quoted on this website have Full Comprehensive Insurance included in
the daily rate.
Just as with your own car insurance an excess will apply. If you have an accident
you may be liable for this amount, regardless of whether you are at fault or not.
However by paying an additional daily surcharge you can reduce your excess.
Avis has a standard excess of $2,750. By paying an additional $25 per day, you can
reduce your excess to $385.
If you wish to reduce your excess, please ask the Avis counter staff upon collection
of the vehicle.
Budget has a standard excess of $2,750 for passenger vehicles. By paying an additional
$22 per day, you can reduce your excess to $385.
The excess for their large 4WD vehicles is $5,500.00. By paying an additional $26.40
per day you can reduce your excess to $1,100.
If you wish to reduce your excess, please ask the Budget counter staff upon collection
of the vehicle.
Europcar has a standard excess of $2,750 for passenger vehicles. By paying an additional
$24 per day, you can reduce the excess to $330. Europcar also offers a premium reduction
option to reduce the excess down to $0 by paying an additional $35 per day.
The excess for Europcar large 4WD vehicles is $5,500.00. By paying an additional $28
per day, you can reduce the large 4WD excess to $990.

of the vehicle.
Hertz has a standard excess of $3,300 for passenger vehicles. By paying an additional
$28 per day, you can reduce your excess to $275. Hertz also has a premium reduction
option to reduce the excess to $0 by paying an additional $34 per day.
Please note that these options are not available for vehicles collected in Tasmania.

Thrifty has a standard excess of $2,750. By paying an additional $25 per day, you
can reduce your excess to $385.
